Submit your sitemap to get indexed faster

How to submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools so your pages get found and indexed sooner.

AI search engines can only pull from pages that Google and Bing have already indexed. Left alone, search engines find your pages on their own, but that can take days to weeks, and longer for a new site. Submitting your sitemap tells them about every page at once, so they get crawled and indexed sooner.

You do this in your own Google and Bing accounts. It takes about five minutes.

Find your sitemap

Most sites publish a sitemap at https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. If you use WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or most site builders, one is generated for you. Open that URL in your browser to confirm it loads before you submit it.

What happens next

Search engines crawl and index the pages in your sitemap over the following days. Once a page is indexed, AI search engines can start pulling from it. Watch your progress on your Plan.
